Kim Kardashian surely knows how to utilize her star power! Love her or hate her the girl knows how to make money! Don't believe us? According to Bloomberg Kim K's popular iOS and Android game "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" could bring in $200 million in revenue this year, lifting game publisher Glu Mobile's share price.

How can an app bring in that much money you ask? Well while the game is free there are in-app purchases that can add up. Players can purchase 1250 in-game "K-Stars" for $99.99 in real money. Of course you don't have to pay that but the other option is to wait around until you earn money through various jobs like photoshoots and events. But doing jobs requries energy, and you are stalled from playing until your energy restores.

With the games addictive nature and people natural determination to win, the combination can be deadly to your financial life. Jezabel's Tracie Egan Morrissey emersed herself in "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" and found that the game is indeed draining to ones wallet as she spent $494.04 to become an a-list celebrity.

Morrissey isn't alone as the game is the fifth highest grossing app/game in Apple's App Store since its release, June 27, according to App Annie. Unfortunately App Annie doesn't show which in-app purchases are the most popular among users but according to the titles iTunes page the $4.99 is the most popular.

Now for those of you who haven't played or don't even know what "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" is here is a brief synopsis. Players create their own avatar and bump into Kim K while out shopping. She likes your look and becomes your mentor, opening doors on your road to self-made stardom. You do various jobs to climb your way from nobody to A-lister. The game is free for both Android and iOS.
