“Kimetsu no Yaiba” Chapter 198 is yet to officially arrive. However, scans and spoilers point to a rather disturbing turn of events as it might feature the death of one of the most popular characters in the series.

The spoilers came from supposed scans of the “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Chapter 198. Unfortunately, the images are still untranslated that they’re a bit hard to decipher probably because they’re not presented in proper order as some fan pointed out.

But fans can see that, even based on the “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Chapter 198 untranslated scans, it will be one action-packed installment. Muzan is seen desperately trying to escape and has one trick up his sleeve called vore mode.

It’s not really explained what this vore mode does but it’s probably safe to assume that it’ll give Muzan a temporary power boost. With this new power boost, the demon will fight fiercely hoping to find an opening and make his escape.

Muzan will then attack Tanjiro, perhaps gauging him to be the most persistent among his opponents. But just as he was about to hit the Tanjiro, one of his teammate saves him and, based on some interpretations, might end up sacrificing himself in the process.

YouTuber SageArtz believes that Muzan will probably kill Iguro. In one of the panels, Muzan’s mouth that is located on his chest is seen biting off a huge chunk of the Snake Pillar’s face as Iguro jumps in to save Tanjiro. The YouTuber previously predicted that the Snake Pillar is going to die and it seems like the panel he is describing supports his theory.

Thankfully, there are other interpretations of the scans as well. This time, it does not involve Iguro getting killed.

As reported by EconoTimes, Iguro might only be wounded but will be saved by the Wind Pillar Sanemi. “It looks like Sanemi saved him,” a fan wrote on Mangahelpers. “He might be out of commission though. Good to see love and Sanemi back though. Plus Inouske and Zeni are still fighting. Giyuu, stoned and maybe Kanao should arrive soon. Even though they’re all fucked up; so is Muzan and they outnumber him heavy.”

Everything will become clearer when the official “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Chapter 198 release arrives.
