Heidi Klum saved her drowning son from a riptide in Hawaii on Easter Sunday. The oft Sports Illustrated swimsuit model cover girl was relaxing in Oahu with her bodyguard boyfriend, Martin Kirsten, when her son Henry Samuel was caught up in a dangerous riptide near the shore.
Klum saved not only her drowning son but two nannies who went to rescue Henry. The nannies reportedly jumped into action to save the boy when they were overcome by the rough Hawaiian current as well. Klum, 39, and Kirsten ran into the water and rescued Henry and the nannies.
Klum and her family were on the Hawaiian beach to celebrate the Easter holiday, as a number of colored eggs were seen hidden among the sand and rocks of the Pacific coastline. The German supermodel's son Henry's father is Klum's ex-husband, British R&B singer Seal. The couple filed for divorce in 2012.
Heidi Klum told the Examiner that Henry is a very strong swimmer and was able to stay afloat and close to the beach as Klum and Kirsten came to his rescue.
Henry's two younger siblings, Johan and Lou are also Seal's biological children, and their oldest sibling, Leni, was born to Klum's previous beau Flavio Briatore. Klum has been dating Martin Kirsten since last year.
