A 44-year-old man reportedly shot his ex-girlfriend in Baltimore and proceeded to kill his former wife in Howard County before taking his own life according to the Howard County Police.

The man was identified as Rajaee Shareef Black of the 7600 block of Ironworks Way in Hanover.

The 44-year-old allegedly first shot his girlfriend, identified as Tara Labang, to death in Baltimore and then went to Howard County along with his two young kids.

After killing his girlfriend, Black proceeded to the apartment building on Eden Brook Drive in Columbia at about 2:00 p.m. where he also shot to death his ex-wife, Wendy Natalie Black. After that, Rajaee went on to kill himself.

The kids were left in Black’s gray BMW X3 that was in the parking lot of the apartment complex, NBC Washington reported. The two kids did not see the shooting and are now in a safe environment.

On Saturday, the Baltimore Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Marshall Street for a report of an alarm.

When they arrived, they noticed signs of forced entry and eventually found a 41-year-old woman unresponsive. They found her suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

As they were searching the premises, Baltimore Police stumbled upon a video posted on social media stating the intent of Rajaee to head to Howard County. But by the time the Howard County Police were notified of the video, the suspect and the second female victim were already dead.

In a report from the Baltimore Sun, it appears the whole incident stemmed from a custody battle that dates back to July 2018.

Both Wendy and Rajaee Black worked as certified registered nurse anesthetists but it appears the couple’s married life was not smooth. There was a reported domestic violence case filed in April 2020 but was dismissed by a judge.

Before that, it appears the Blacks have had a rocky relationship. In 2019, there was another domestic violence case that was also dismissed. In 2018 there were also cases filed but later dropped.
