Meghan Markle has sparked speculation that she may run for president in the coming elections. In reality, she has received backing from some of America's most influential figures, including President Joe Biden's sister.

It's worth noting that Prince Harry's wife has never shown an interest in running for President of the United States. However, some believe it will only be time before she reveals her true objectives.

During a recent interview on "Good Morning America," Joe Biden's sister, Valerie Biden Owens, commented on the possibility of Meghan Markle running for president of the United States. It would be lovely, she remarked, mainly because the Duchess of Sussex is a woman.

"It's wonderful to have women in politics. The more women we have the better our democratic system will work. We welcome her to come in and join the Democratic party," she said per Cheat Sheet.

When British journalist and historian Alexander Larman heard what Owens said about Markle, he added that he believes Markle has a chance to gain a nomination or possibly become the next U.S. president.

He also predicted that Prince Harry's bride might run for president in 2028. If that happens, the Suits alum might be called Donald Trump's counterpart right away.

"Should Meghan become the Democratic version of Trump — a high-profile, divisive figure with enormous newsworthiness, for good or ill — then only a fool would bet against her (and her Cavaliere servente Prince Harry) taking up residence in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue before the decade is out," he said per Express.

Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal critic, believes Markle has all the makings of a future president.

"There is no question that you are dealing with somebody who has [a particular] agenda. You can look at her comments at the United Nations and various campaigns before she married and also her affinity with the democratic party," Fitzwilliams said.

Omid Scobie, Markle's good friend and author of Finding Freedom, alleged last year that she had her sights set on becoming President of the United States.

"Meghan is the embodiment of the American dream. One day we may see Meghan become president," he said in a Page Six report.

According to an unidentified friend of the Duchess of Sussex, Markle refused to give up her American citizenship after marrying Prince Harry because she wanted to be the next president of the United States.

While some individuals support Markle's potential presidential run, others believe she is not the proper match for the White House.

Megyn Kelly, a former Fox News host, slammed Markle after hearing Biden's sister's remarks. Kelly believes Markle will run for president one day because she enjoys being in the spotlight. However, the Duchess of Sussex's desire to be in the spotlight clashes with her need for privacy.

"What this shows me, the fact that she might even be considering it, or might have her eye on that long term, is that she's a dishonest, narcissistic opportunist. Miss 'I want privacy' wants to run for president? Miss 'the royal family was a racist prison' now wants to come out and be on cam at the queen's jubilee right? And she wants to use her royal title. What she says to us publicly is not what she really feels. What she wants in the spotlight," Kelly said per British news site GBN.
