Mexico City has been plagued with robberies for quite some time and people have had enough. An unknown armed vigilante decided to take matters into their own hands and has sent a message to the government.

According to FOX News Latino, an armed passaenger fatally shot four men who had just held up a busload of passengers. Clearly outraged by the constant robberies aboard commuter buses on the outskirts of Mexico City, the unarmed man has decided to intervene.

The site reports that four bodies were found Monday dumped along a major highway connecting Mexico's capital with the nearby city of Toluca. Suspicion intially focused on criminal gangs that sometimes dump bodies of victims in the area, but prosecutors say that a bus ticket in one of the dead men's pockets led them to the bus driver who spoke about what happened.

"Investigations have established the four suspects were thieves, who minutes before they lost their lives had stolen the possessions of passengers aboard a bus," the state prosecutors' office said.

Moments before dawn, the fiur men got on the bus and threatened passengers with a gun, collecting wallets, purses and cellphones officers reveal.

"When the suspects were about to get off the bus, a passenger stood up and shot at them, causing injuries that killed the four," it said.

In an effort to stop the robberies, police officials have maintained a presence at bus stations and aboard buses but the methods have failed to assure commuters of their safety.

This incident is the latest instance of vigilante-style killings in the crime-plagued suburban bus system. In August, local media outlets reported that an armed passenger in another part of Mexico state shot four thieves on a bus, killing two of them.

Authorities have yet to discover the identities of the vigilantes in both cases.
