Silvia Navarro and Jorge Salinas star in the new Univision telenovela "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo." The comedy is set to being broadcast stateside on July 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. In México, this light-hearted adventure premiered last night and we have all the details from that first episode. You have been warned that the following text contains spoilers. Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert! In Episode 1 we meet Ana Leal (Navarro) who has just moved into a new place with her best friend Jennifer (Fabiola Campomanes). Moments later we find put Ana has a boyfriend named Johnny (Adrián Uribe), who is not particularly ready to commit despite Ana's insinuations that she's ready to have a family because her "box of babies is going to burn out." We also meet for the first time the seven Lascurain children that are up to no good and scheming to destroy their latest nanny. To frighten her they throw green paint all over her, which seemed like out of a Nickelodeon gag.
Expectedly, the nanny quits that horrible job with pesky kids. Fernando (Jorge Salinas) tries to convince her to stay, but no amount of money was enough for her to continue doing her job. Ana and Jennifer are heading to work in the middle of a storm. Jennifer remembers she left the window of her room open and with all of the rain they might find their home all wet. During a bizarre scene we see cars backing up from a tunnel that is flooded, the bus they are traveling in tries to cross over despite the setback. It obviously doesn't work out and the bus starts sinking, everyone panics and starts fleeing the bus. Jennifer struggles to swim out of the flood and loses consciousness. Ana comes to her rescue as paramedics arrive on the scene. Jennifer is able to come back to life. Due to this, they both arrive late to work but their boss doesn't want to hear any excuses despite their emotionally distraught appearance.
The Lascurain kids celebrate the firing of their latest nanny. The butler informs Fernando that this is the 10th nanny they have in a month. Ana and Jennifer return home only to find a lot of commotion with ambulances and fire trucks everywhere. Turns out there was a short circuit burst and their home went up in flames along with other homes in the neighborhood. Ana and everyone go to a shelter for the night and makes Ana remember of her mother, a person she doesn't physically remember. The next day Fernando and his 7 kids go and pay respects to their late mother after a year. Fernando's father tries to hug him for support but at that exact moment he receives a call from workm which he tends to right away giving him no time to sob. Ana pays a visit to Johnny only to find out a woman coming out of his place with him right behind her and shirtless. Ana forgives him because she needs a place to stay. At the end of the episode Fernando meets Isabela (Mayrín Villanueva), which by the looks of it, will only bring drama and trouble to his life.
