'Mi Corazón Es Tuyo' Premieres New Opening Credits
Banda El Recodo sings the new theme song for "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo." Listen and watch the new opening credits here! Televisa

"Mi Corazón Es Tuyo" is currently one of our favorite Univision telenovelas as it is family-friendly and makes us laugh. The chemistry between Silvia Navarro and Jorge Salinas is incredible, with the will they and won't they factored in, the writers know how to keep us in suspense. As the love between the "nanaca" and Fernando heat up, the production has made a dramatic turn to their opening credits. Gone is the pop theme song by Axel and Kaay and gone are the characters running through a maze with no way out. The Televisa production helmed by Juan Osorio introduced a new opening sequence with a brand new song by Banda El Recodo. In typical Recodo form, "Todo Tuyo" brings on that familiar Regional Mexican sound that people love. The fun and catchy lyrics have now been swapped for a melody of love, pure love between a man and a woman.

The shift in the title sequence shows more moments between the love triangles, rather than the children. After all this time, this telenovela was sold to us as a kid-friendly show. We loved seeing the kids cause mischief and making "Ana, la nana's" job difficult, because that's what novela's do. We are not keen on the new theme song as it completely strips off the magic that "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo" was. If it was a classic melodrama, the tune would be perfect, but it's not. It's a comedic telenovela, with kids and we wan't to hear something that represents what we are watching on tv. The song is not horrible, but we don't think it meshes well with the show. Also, what is up with the new focus on Adrian Uribe and Fabiola Campomanes characters? They are given WAY TOO MUCH screen time in this intro, when they are clearly secondary characters. Another thing to note is that Pablo Montero's credit is still in the opening, which might mean he will return. Watch the new "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo" intro down below and tell us what you think!
