We all remember the late 90's and early 2000's, and all the pop stars with their amazing music videos and awesome choreography that we all tried so hard to learn. How could we forget Britney Spears' "I'm A Slave For You" video and those hip movements we all wished we could do? Or her famous Pepsi Superbowl commercial "The Joy of Pepsi" and the very sharp steps that were seen in most choreography of the 2000's? Or N'Sync's "Pop" and the super cool dance break that we copied unsuccessfully?
Oh yes, those were the days.
In case you didn't know, the mastermind behind those dance steps was a prodigy kid from Australia named Wade Robson.
He started his career at the age of 5 in Australia, but it wasn't until he performed at Disneyland at the age of 7, that he fell in love with America, and Michael Jackson helped the Robson family to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Jackson recruited him right away to appear in three of his music videos: "Black or White," "Jam," and "Heal the World." After the big move, Wade became a regular at Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch where he allegedly slept in his bed with the late singer.
When Michael Jackson was arrested on charges of child molestation in 2003, a member of his staff testified that she had seen Jackson behaving inappropriately towards Robson, even taking showers together, but the young choreographer denied any wrongdoing on the singer's part, and testified in Jackson's defense at the People v. Jackson trial in 2005.
Wade and Michael remained good friends until the singer's death in 2009, but now, Robson is filing a legal claim that the King of Pop sexually abused him. In response, Howard Weitzman, the attorney for Jackson's estate, hit back hard, telling TMZ that "Mr. Robson's claim is outrageous and pathetic."
"This is a young man who has testified at least twice under oath and said in numerous interviews that Michael never did anything inappropriate to him or with him. Only now, nearly four years after Michael has passed away, this sad and less than credible claim has been made," Weitzman added.
"We are confident that the court will see this for what it is."
Robson is asking the probate court to allow him to file a late creditor's claim against the Jackson estate, as the deadline has passed for creditors to file such claims alleging he suffered from "repressed memory."
"It's absurd," said Tom Mesereau, Jackson's lawyer at the 2005 trial, to CNN. "He was one of the strongest witnesses for the defense.... He was adamant under oath that he had never been molested at any time."
What do you think? Is this about money or did Michael Jackson really molested Wade Robson?
