A 27-year-old man has been sentenced to 40 years behind bars for brutally murdering a 94-year-old lady and raping a mentally disabled teen.

Cornelius Pames, 27, had reportedly committed numerous hideous crimes in Cleveland’s Slavic Village neighborhood between September to October in 2018, Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley said.

Fox 8 reported that Pames was out on parole for felony assault when he did not report to his parole officer during the two months.

He also faces convictions for burglary and juvenile adjudications for rape, aggravated robbery, and kidnapping.

Pames reportedly physically assaulted a frail 94-year-old woman at her own home in early September 2018. The pensioner died of blunt force trauma.

He then suffocated the victim's elderly daughter Eusebia Garcia, 74, and proceeded to steal valuables from their home, the Cleveland19 noted.

On Sep. 12, 2018, Pames attempted to sexually assault a 14-year-old girl at another home on Gertrude Avenue. The monstrous assailant then went on to gruesomely rape a 16-year-old girl with developmental issues at an apartment on Park Avenue on Oct. 1, 2018,

Pames was finally arrested by the Cleveland police on Oct. 15.

“This individual is a monster who terrorized Slavic Village during this three-week crime wave,” said Prosecutor O’Malley, “We hope that this will bring a sense of closure to the victims and some tranquility to the residents of this neighborhood.”

A press release revealed that DNA evidence linked to both crimes belongs to Pames.
