Legit details on Google's Moto X have finally been revealed.

Google on Thursday unveiled the Moto X, the first smartphone fully designed and built by Motorola since it was bought by Google last year.

The new Moto X is touted as the smartphone you can design your self. There will be a total of 18 different colors for the rear cover, either white or black for the front plate, and 8 different colors to choose from for the phone's side buttons and the ring around the camera lens.

Customers will also have the option of adding an engraving to the back of the device. However, this feature will only be available for AT&T customers when the phone launches.

The Moto X is equipped with a 720p AMOLED 4.7-inch display, and utilizes a dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with quad-core Adreno 320 graphics, 2GB of RAM, and 16 or 32GB of on-board storage.

The Moto X unfortunately does not support microSD cards Motorola claims that the device's 2,200mAh battery is capable of up to 24 hours of use. Motorola's American made smartphone will have a 2-megapixel camera on the front, and on the rear is a 10-megapixel shooter.

IGN's website reports that the new device will run Android 4.2.2 when it launches and also supports a UI interface not found on Androids Jelly Bean OS. The site also points out two noteworthy features found on the Moto X

"Of the many software features included with the Moto X, two of the most interesting are Touchless Controls and Active Display. With Touchless Controls, you can interact with the device by simply saying "OK, Google Now," even when the screen is off. Active Display is an exceptionally intruiguing feature that, with the help of OLED technology, lets the device's screen light up just certain areas to reveal the time and notifications while the rest of the screen remains off."

Another interesting feature is "Quick Capture" which lets users take quick pictures with the flick of a wrist. Watch the video below:

Motorola did not provide exact dates as to when Moto X will be available, but said that black and white versions of the phone will be sold with AT&T, Sprint, US Cellular and Verizon Wireless for $199 with a two-year contract. It did not reveal the price of the unlocked version of the phone, or how much it will cost T-Mobile customers.
