A mother was charged with killing her two young children after police found the bodies of both her 6-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son in a gruesome crime scene. Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison announced on Wednesday that the mother, 28-year-old Jameirra Hall has confessed to the murder of her children during her interview with detectives.

According to Fox News Baltimore, Hall was located on Wednesday after investigators were able to track her movement while in an Uber and was taken into custody.

The children were discovered by a maintenance worker who had entered their apartment to look into complaints of a foul odor emanating from the family’s unit. Police said both bodies were already in the early stages of decomposition when they arrived at the home to respond to the dispatch call to the Coventry Apartments on Tuesday afternoon.

Baltimore officers found her son Davin in the living room lying face down with a plastic trash bag wrapped around his face and head and a “large knife” plunged into his chest. His sister, Da’Neria was in the bathtub naked with clothing wrapped around her neck.

Investigators are still digging into more information on the reasons why the children were killed and how the mother went about the horrible deed.

Witnesses said the mother was last seen with her children outside of the apartment building on Aug. 19. Neighbors told police they had heard someone screaming “Mommy no!" coming from inside Hall’s apartment, which they believed to have been Da’Neira.

Hall’s mother had told authorities that the children were taken by their father as she was told Hall was in the hospital at the time. The children’s father spoke to investigators and said that he had not seen the children. He said he last saw Hall on Aug. 24 on the street seemingly under the influence and "screaming and cursing at no one".

Back in 2018, Hall was reported to have disappeared with her two children a day after a reported arson. Court documents revealed Hall had set her mother’s home on fire, burned family photos and disabled the smoke detectors. Police officers said images from the scene were compared to something resembling “an altar”. The children were found at a hospital and Hall was convicted with first degree arson. She was sentenced to a year in prison but was able to keep custody of the kids after serving time.

Hall has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and is currently being held without bail.
