Jeff Gordon took his No. 24 Chevy SS to a mind blowing 214 mph during a NASCAR tire test session at Indianapolis on Tuesday.
The Tuesday session enjoyed perfect conditions as long straightaways, calm winds, and new grippy tires on a cool track brought out the full potential of the new Gen-6 cars.
Mark Martin set an early benchmark as he clocks in a blistering 212 mph down the backstretch during the closed morning session.
It was fast at Indy today. 212 mph at the end of the back stretch.
