They couldn’t sound more different, but they couldn’t be more similar too. Nicki Minaj and Adele are breakthrough singers of their own right. But Minaj just shared something she's been sworn to secrecy to by Adele. Bad Minaj.

The secret? Minaj and Adele are collaborating on a song and a video. The album is actually READY to be dropped. Whoa.

Minaj and Adele are each other’s fans for years. So much so that a collaboration was deemed possible by some, but because they’re from different music genres, that felt like it will not happen. Welcome to 2019 where the impossible happen as the two may now really release a song, plus a video!

Minaj could not keep the good news to herself. When asked about the possibility by ET, Minaj just straightforwardly said yes, even though in the next breath, she actually shared that she should not be sharing the news yet because Adele instructed her to keep it a secret.

"But Adele made me swear to secrecy that I'm not allowed to tell anyone that I'm working with her," Nicki shared to the news outlet. That right there was enough to start fans salivating, but she wasn't done. "And that we already shot a video," she added. "And it's an epic song! Ahh!” she continued.

The way she said it though makes it sounds like a planned reveal anyway.

Whether or not it is true that she should not have let the cat out of the bag yet is no import. The news is massive!!

While there are no concrete details yet as to when the song will drop, Adele is just finishing her latest album so there’s a good chance that this collaboration with Minaj will be included in this ablum.

It’s not the collaboration that is exciting though. It can be remembered that Minaj already somehow announced her reitrement just last month. “I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me … Love you for LIFE,” she tweeted on September 5. The tweet has long bee deleted, but not before so many outlets have picked up on the story and even fellow musicians weighed in on the matter.

Guess she’s not just letting this chance to work with Adele go.
