Michael Costello has dressed top-notch celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, Beyoncé, to name a few. Now, the fashion designer is taking his impeccable work and gowns to the Univision studios, where the finalists of "Nuestra Belleza Latina" VIP Edition will flaunt his designer-brand gear.
Costello will dress the 12 remaining NBL finalists for the high couture runway on Sunday night's episode. "I can tell you that the girls are definitely going to be very sexy and very challenging for them to walk in these gowns," Costello said to Latin Times at the fitting prior to the forthcoming program. "Everything is really long and very dramatic," he stated, adding that his exclusive NBL collection was inspired by the great goddesses of Greek Mythology. "You'll see influences with draping, the structure of the dresses, you'll feel the role of Medusa in some of the pieces."
The Romanian designer, who says his favorite Latinas to dress are Jennifer Lopez, Galilea Montijo, Alejandra Espinoza and Eva Longoria, also revealed his secret to dressing a woman. "I think the secret, no matter what shape or size she is, is definitely what she feels comfortable in," he said. "You have to know her best assets, what best compliments her body. But sometimes you have to push women to go places that they've never been before, so that they can experience this whole new side of themselves."
