A 63-year-old man has pleaded guilty to killing a cat who died after he reportedly had unusual sex with the animal.

The man was identified as Janting Anak Keling. He admitted guilt to committing unnatural sex with the cat when he appeared before a Malaysian court recently.

The incident allegedly happened last Apr. 16 at around 4:30 a.m. at a children’s playground located in Skudai. He was charged under Section 377 of Malaysia's Penal Code. He could be imprisoned for up to 20 years along with a huge fine.

Deputy Public Prosecutor S Thiviya also asked the court not to set bail for Keling.

"However, if the court wants to offer bail, we ask for a bail of RM15,000 (£2,700) with one surety and the accused must report to the nearest police station," he stated.

Keling pleaded with Judge Fatimah Zahari to lower the bail and said that he was currently unemployed. He also traveled to another Malaysian island to appear in court.

"I just came to Johor Baru from Sarawak and am currently not working. I am staying with my daughter," Keling reportedly said.

The judge eventually set Keling's bail at RM6,000 (£1,081). His case is expected to continue on May 25.

The incident comes not long after another man allegedly had sex with a miniature horse thrice in one night.

He was identified as Santiago Victoria, a 57-year-old man who was caught after the owner started to become suspicious after finding bungee cords and ropes around the neck of the animal.

A surveillance camera was set up in the stable and it was here where the owner saw a man trespass and sexually violate the horse.

Santiago was eventually arrested and was charged with three felony burglary charges, The Smoking Gun reported. He was booked into the county jail, where he is being held on a $75,000 bond.
