"Follow me or I'll break my dog's neck," read a terrifying tweet from an obsessed One Direction fan. The shocking and deranged message was accompanied by a photo showing someone brutally pinning a Chihuahua to the floor, the petite dog is being held down by its throat. The message was sent to all five members of One Direction, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson on August 30.

A few days later after threatening the British boy band, she tweeted a bizarre message once again this time begging for mercy after seemingly killing her pet dog. However, the follow up was only sent to Liam Payne, she wrote, "I love you. Follow me. My dog has just died." The second message was accompanied by an image of a teenage girl crying, and what seems to be a deceased Chihuahua.

With the millions of tweets being sent to their account every day, the group very likely did not spot the message and it unfortunately went ignored. The teenager, who has not yet been identified, sent the message from the twitter handle, @illumivato, however, the account has since been suspended. Followers of the band have since branded the obsessed fan a "psycho," with one fan so appalled by the actions, she set up a petition on Change.org demanding she be banned from Twitter. Mya Fhya, who set up the petition, wrote. "I want this person to be imprisoned! She is a threat to society!"

While some are claiming the death threat against her pet is a hoax, it has not yet been confirmed, and their fans have been known for some dramatic and rather frightening behavior. In August, following a broadcast of a documentary about the dedicated fans of One Direction, 42 fans allegedly committed suicide

. The documentary specifically focused on a sub-group of One Direction fans that fantasize about a romance or fictional relationship between two of the band's members: Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. They identify themselves as "Larry Shippers," following the documentary many claimed that it's portrayal of "Larry Shippers: was unfair and negative.

Following the alleged suicides, One Direction member Liam Payne took to Twitter to address the horrifying news. "Not really sure what's going on right now I just hope everyone's ok xxx," he tweeted. "Hearing some horrible things... Really hope this isn't true."

Despite One Direction's dedicated fan base and their extreme behavior no official reports have come out regarding the killing of a pet Chihuahua or the alleged "Larry Shippers" suicides.
