"One Piece" chapter 1056 is out and has no shortage of shocking revelations. Arguably the biggest shocker was Buggy being named an emperor of the sea and forming an alliance with two notorious pirates and former Warlords of the Sea, Dracule Mihawk and Sir Crocodile.

They formed a new organization called Cross Guild. Luffy and Zoro are in disbelief as they know Buggy is simply not capable of commanding the two.

Fans over at Reddit believe it was simply a marriage of convenience since the World Government abolished the Warlords and are aggressively chasing after them. Thus, these prominent pirates formed an alliance to counter the marines and they even put bounties on high-ranking officers to give them a taste of their own medicine.

Meanwhile, Luffy, Law, and Kid are about to part ways and continue their search for One Piece. Law gave Killer and Kid a copy of the Road Poneglyph and it urged them to search for the "man with a burn on his face." This person can lead them to the greatest treasure but unfortunately, they have no leads on his whereabouts.

Nico Robin also told the crew about her findings and that the Ancient Weapon Pluton is indeed hidden in Wano. Luffy said he doesn't need it and all of them are surprised why Kozuki Oden would want to unleash this weapon on the world. Being at the right place at the right time, Caribou overheard the conversation and is itching to tell a certain person about this news.

The chapter ended with Momonosuke and Kinemon dumbfounded on why Luffy and the rest did not even say goodbye to them. Yamato meanwhile, is getting ready to ask for Luffy's permission to join his crew.

It is interesting to see the impact Buggy's new group will make in the story, considering the manga is heading into its final arc as confirmed by author Eiichiro Oda. Will they be a hurdle to Luffy? Or will they be a key ally to the Strawhats in the future?
