The Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars 2016 are this Sunday night and the Hollywood elite will gather at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to celebrate the best in movies. Chris Rock is set to host the event and will try to make light of the "Oscars So White" controversy that plagued the show this year. We are sure he has something special planned and viewers at home will enjoy it. Presenters confirmed for the ceremony include Sofia Vergara, Benicio Del Toro, Louis C.K., Tina Fey, Whoopi Goldberg, Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon. Other presenters include Cate Blanchett, Emily Blunt, Steve Carell, Russell Crowe, Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto, Rachel McAdams, Sarah Silverman and many more.

Lady Gaga is scheduled to perform her Oscar nominated song. The Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, The Weeknd and Sam Smith are also scheduled for a performance during the glamorous night. The competitive night has some strong front runners with director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu and Leonardo DiCaprio to win in their categories for their work on "The Revenant." Will they win? They have some fierce competition. In the Best Director Category the following are nominated: Alejandro González Iñárritu for “The Revenant,” Adam Mckay for “The Big Short," George Miller for “Mad Max: Fury Road," Lenny Abrahamson for “Room" and Tom McCarthy for “Spotlight." In the Best Actor category Leo is facing: Bryan Cranston for “Trumbo," Matt Damon for “The Martian," Michael Fassbender for “Steve Jobs” and Eddie Redmayne for “The Danish Girl."

ABC will be live streaming the event through their WatchABC app available for mobile devices with iOS or Android. It is also available for the AppleTV. This app does need to have a cable subscription attached for verification, but if you download the app, you will be able to stream the event from anywhere live. The Oscars start at 7pmET/6pmCT/4pmPT.
