Social media has been abuzz with speculations on Will Smith’s attack on Chris Rock at the Oscars being staged and planned from the get-go. Body language experts chimed in on the altercation and based on several cam footage and snapshots before and during the Academy Awards ceremony indicated the incident may all have been choreographed.

Body language expert, Judi James spoke to The Sun and said that 57-year-old comedian Chris Rock did not appear to “nurse his face” after he was slapped by Will Smith on stage. James noted that Rock had reeled to one side after taking the hit but having been on the receiving end of a hand from a big guy like Smith, James expected Rock to hit the floor, even it was from mere shock.

“Chris’s apparent lack of ‘hurt’ response was probably what caused many people to believe they were watching a stunt,” James pointed out.

Meanwhile, hours before the star-studded awards night began, the 53-year-old "Men In Black" star was said to have bragged about “causing chaos” at the Oscars in a series of funny face snaps with his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, 50, during a behind-the-scenes video they recorded.

The clip played with the couple looking all-dolled up as they walked towards each other and each smiled as they wrapped themselves in an embrace before grinning at the camera. The video then went on to show them doing mock scowls and sticking their tongues out while background audio starts to play, "Good morning everyone. God has let me live another day. And I am about to make it everyone’s problem.”

On Sunday, Smith posted the clip on his Instagram and captioned it with “Me n’ @jadapinkettsmitth got all dressed up to choose chaos.”

Observers and skeptics quickly took to social media with the Twittersphere buzzing with fans saying it was nothing but a Hollywood skit. Some said Smith’s slap didn’t even look like it landed on Rock’s face while other comments laid heavy on Rock and Smith “pulling off the work of the decade.”

Many have observed Smith’s initial reaction to Rock’s joke, as he was seen chuckling at the punchline before he spotted Jada’s smug look and slowly strode across the stage to deliver his hand on Rock’s face.

While everything settled down after the curtains closed on this year’s Oscars, Smith released a lengthy apology on his Instagram hours after he accepted his Best Actor award. He addressed his violent behavior and apologized to Rock admitting his actions were wrong and out of line.

At the same time, the Academy released its statement on the event condemning Smith’s behavior. “The Academy condemns the actions of Mr. Smith at last night's show. We have officially started a formal review around the incident and will explore further action and consequences in accordance with our Bylaws, Standards of Conduct, and California law," the statement read.
