There is a lot to expect this month about “Overlord” with most expecting the actual release date of the fourth season to be announced. It appears that is about 10 days away and will include a preview trailer as well.

What is known is that “Overlord” season 4 is happening in 2022 although the actual date has yet to be known. A special live program that will be aired on YouTube should end the suspense, not to mention a presentation that will include voice actors Satoshi Hino (Ainz), Yumi Hara (Albedo), and Eimiri Kato (Aura Bella Fiora).

All that happens on Mar. 12 on YouTube starting at 6:00 a.m. EST. The preview trailer that will contain footage for the fourth season is also expected to be unveiled.

It was in 2021 when the “Overlord 4” anime TV series was announced. Further, it was also shared at that time that an “Overlord” movie was in the works, covering the Holy Kingdom story arc.

“At last, the fourth season of the anime and the theatrical movie are in production,” Ito said. “We are working hard to ensure that the show will be satisfying to both fans of the original versions and those who only follow the anime. You’re going to love it,” director Naoyuki Itou stated.

Also, it was confirmed that the new “Overlord” content will also cover the story arcs of Kugane Maruyama’s light novel series up through the Paladin of the Holy Kingdom arc.

“Total episode count and how far the story will go are still a secret, but honestly, it seems like I hear the clamor of footsteps charging up from behind,” said Maruyama. “Yikes. But ignoring the pressure that an author feels, I will genuinely be delighted to have you all enjoy the show. But really, yikes…”
