Paulina Vega Miss Universe 2015: 3 Things That Colombians Are Tired Of Hearing
What are the three things Colombians are tired of hearing? Paulina Vega weighs in! MissUniverse

Paulina Vega is the reigning Miss Universe as the most beautiful woman this year. The Colombian beauty is not one to shy away from answering any questions and she recently sat down for a candid interview with Latina magazine. The publication asked her what some of the things herself and Colombians were tired of hearing about their country. Apparently Vega has become the symbol of the South American country, over-taking Sofía Vergara and Shakira. First and foremost, she "tired when the people misspell the name" of her country. This is one that irks us as well. She clarifies there's no U in the spelling of her countries name as they are both O's. So remember to not make that mistake again or else Vega is going to come after you.

Colombia has given the world so many telenovelas like "Yo Soy Betty La Fea" and "Pasión De Gavilanes," but it's also the country that perfected the "narco-novelas." You know those narco-novelas like "El Cartel De Los Sapos," "El Capo" and "Pablo Escobar." This is precisely what Vega doesn't like when people think Colombia is all about drug-trafficking and illegal stuff. "Another thing that I hate as a Colombian is that when people start talking about my country its like they know everything and they don’t know anything," she said. "They still think my Colombia is only related with drugs, prostitution with plastic surgeries, but i think that one of my responsibilities as the Miss Universe is being an ambassador of Colombia and spread the message that now my country is in a whole different point."

Paulina Vega continued, "we are now in one of the best points of the whole history, we are about to accomplish peace in the country, we have a stable economy, we have security, we have a lot of tourist, when you go to my country you see people from around the world, so i think that the most important thing is to tell the whole world that you can visit my country and have fun and just enjoy our culture." Lastly she said that she is "tired" of hearing that Colombian women are beautiful. Vega says in the interview that she doesn't understand, as she flips her hair and laughs it off. This last one you have to see for yourself as it's extremely funny. Watch the video interview on Latina here! Now tell us, What are the things from your Latin country that you are tired of hearing?
