José Manuel Figueroa and Julián Figueroa will give life to their late father in the bio series "Por Siempre Joan Sebastian." Acclaimed producer Carla Estrada is behind this project that was filmed on location in Juliantla, where Sebastian was born. The production will honor his accomplishments just a year after his untimely death. His love of life will be shared along with his passion for his music and his fans.

"Por Siempre Joan Sebastian" premieres on Univision, Monday, June 27 at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT. Viewers will have the opportunity to stream it with Univision Now that is available for mobile devices as well as through the official website. The service does have a fee but if you're a new user you can use the free-trial to watch Episode 1 of the series.

"Por Siempre Joan Sebastian" pays tribute to the "people's poet," as he is affectionately known, giving audience a unique look at the life of the singer as a child, his many struggles growing up, and his meteoric rise to fame. Jose Manuel and Julian Figueroa, Sebastian's sons, will play different stages of his life. Livia Brito will play the role of Maribel Guardia, one of Sebastian's true loves.

A touching story of a poet who never surrendered in the face of adversity, the mini-series takes us back to the 1950s in the small Mexican town of Juliantla, where Sebastian was born and, ultimately, died last year. The story features Sebastian as a young man migrating to Chicago to pursue his dream, the women who inspired him, and how he launched a successful recording career that would make him one of the top-selling GRAMMY Award-winning artists whose songs will live forever.

"Por Siempre Joan Sebastian" also stars Lumi Cavazos, Arcelia Ramírez, Irán Castillo, Ernesto D'Alessio, Diego de Erice, Mike Biagio, Zaide Silvia Gutiérrez, Adalberto Parra, Juan Pablo Gil, Amelia Zapata, Martín Altomaro, Ximena Martínez, Viviana Serna, Ana Laura Gallardo, Alejandra Robles Gil, Palmeira Cruz and Abril Rivera.
