Premios Tu Mundo Red Carpet 2014: Gaby Espino
Find out how to achieve Gaby Espino's Blue Carpet hair style! Mezcalent

Telemundo's Premios Tu Mundo took place on Thursday night, Aug. 21, and the event brought Latin America's biggest stars to the award show. If you watched the Premios Tu Mundo 2014 Blue Carpet, then missing the blue carpet's co-host Gabby Espino's lime green dress was near impossible. The dress was risky, but Espino managed to make it work with her confidence and her perfect hair style.

Espino's hair was created by renowned Miami hair stylist Isaac Mesa, who gave Espino exactly what she wanted: a modern, sexy rocker-chic look.

To achieve her look, find out what products Mesa used and each step:

STEP 1: Start with damp hair and prep using the L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Blowout Heat Spray ($4.99) all over to create volume and protect hair from heat damage

STEP 2: Separate your hair into three sections (one on top and two sections split down the middle in the back.)To create volume on the top section of your hair, use a palm-size amount of L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Volume Injecting Mousse ($4.99) and apply it close to the roots teasing it with a rat tail comb

STEP 3: Use a round brush to blow dry the hair pulling downwards

STEP 4: Once the blow dry is complete; apply L’Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Extraordinary Oil ($6.99) to the ends. The oil will allow the ends to look soft and add a subtle shine

STEP 5: Create loose beachy waves or as Isaac calls them “mermaid waves” using a ¼ inch curling iron all over your hair, starting from the mid-shaft to the ends

STEP 6: Finish the look by spraying L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Weather Control Hairspray ($4.99). To give the front of your hair that sleek wet –hair look, tease and spray the hair back in small sections

TIP: To achieve a chocolate brown similar to Gaby’s luscious locks, use the L'Oréal Paris Mousse Absolue in Pure Dark Brown ($14.99)
