Royal couples Prince William and Kate Middleton and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went on their respective royal tours in recent weeks. After Prince Harry and Meghan visited South Africa for charity, Prince William and Kate visited Pakistan for an official engagement at the behest of the Foreign Office.
While the two royal couples did a great job at representing the royal family during their tours, some royal followers couldn’t help but compare them and debate as to which of them actually did better.
According to Deanna Eppers, Prince William and Kate are more commendable because they made it a point that their tour would never be about them but about strengthening Britain’s partnership with Pakistan. The royal follower hated how Prince Harry, on the second day of their South African tour, gave a statement to the press that overshadowed their visit.

In his statement, the Duke of Sussex talked about his rebuke of the press, the lawsuit filed by Meghan against the Daily Mail and how they’re handling all the negative press about them. According to Eppers, this media interview turned the tables for both Prince Harry and Meghan.
“Prince Harry turned their good African tour into a sideshow, when the lawsuits and Harry’s statement became the focus,” said Eppers. “Their trip was not a success after that point. Launching a battle against the press is a big deal, but if they could have waited until they were home, then Africa would have been awesome all the way,” she added.
While Eppers believes that Prince William and Kate’s Pakistan tour was much better than Prince Harry and Meghan’s South African tour, another royal follower, Bryon Kubik, believes otherwise. Kubik noted that the two royal tours are incomparable because while Prince William and Kate’s tour to Pakistan was an official royal visit, Prince Harry and Meghan’s tour to South Africa was more of a personal visit.
“I don’t think you can compare the two,” he said. “Prince William and Duchess Catherine were on an official royal visit. They were there as a representative of the crown and country. Everything was carefully planned. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were not in South Africa in an official capacity. They were there for their own reasons,” he added.
He also defended Prince Harry for speaking to the press on the second day of their tour, saying that he was only trying to be a good husband by protecting his wife and son. “I admire him for that,” he said. “People should just leave them along before there is another royal tragedy. Isn’t it enough the press killed his mother?” he added.
