Russian President Vladimir Putin gathered massive media attention by unveiling the politician's personal life matters since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. His relationship status, rumored mistresses and children are all subjects of several news outlets.

Putin is very confidential regarding his private life; he once stated, "those who with their snotty noses and erotic fantasies prowl into others' lives." He previously clarified, "I have a private life in which I do not permit interference. It must be respected." However, even his most secretive romantic interests are starting to dominate the headlines. Despite appearing as a cold-hearted leader, he has been won over by several women.

As Alina Kabaeva is rumored to be pregnant with their third child, Putin's other romances have been a topic of news.

Alina Kabaeva

The 38-year-old is a former Russian MP and chair of the board of directors of the National Media Group, which is said to be the largest private Russian media company. Her long-rumored relationship with Putin was never confirmed. However, much proof has been circulating online trying to connect the two.

Kabaeva started gymnastics at the age of three; she is considered one of the most decorated athletes in rhythmic gymnastic history. She made her international debut in 1998 at 15 years old. She had won three world titles and two Olympic medals by the time she was 21.

Kabaeva appeared in public after a long time alongside other gymnasts with a visible wedding "ring" on her right hand. She was previously reported hiding in a Swiss villa with her alleged children with Putin. Speculations about Putin and Kabaeva's relationship has been going on for quite a long time, but they have never announced it nor confirmed if they have children together.

Lyudmila Shkrebneva

Shkrebneva is the former wife of Putin; they got married in July 1983. The pair had two daughters, Mariya, born in April 1985, and Yekaterina, in August 1986.

Putin met Shkrebneva when she was working as a flight attendant for Aeroflot. Both officially met in their home city of Leningrad, now St Petersburg, when they were invited by a common friend to watch a comedy performance. Soon after, they started dating. "I was used to life as a bachelor, but Lyudmila changed that," Putin once said in his Kremlin biography.

Putin reportedly hid the fact that he worked as a KGB spy for much of their three-year courtship. They moved to Germany when Putin was stationed as a Soviet spy. Shkrebneva worked as a German instructor for a while, and she then fulfilled her duties as the first lady when Putin became president.

After almost 30 years of marriage, Shkrebneva and Putin confirmed their joint decision to file for divorce in 2013. Shkrebneva reportedly re-married a businessman named Artur Ocheretny, who worked at an events agency, in 2016.

Svetlana Krivonogikh

About 20 years ago, Putin reportedly had a "lovechild" with his housecleaner-turned-mistress. Krivonogikh has worked at one of Putin's compounds wherein the romance began.

Krivonogikh has been revealed to come from a modest family background in Russia, with no visible wealth. She was rumored to carry the president's child a few years ago. Currently, she is a part-owner of a major Russian bank, known to be one of the country's wealthiest women with an estimated £74 ($93 million) million financial and property fortune.

Krivonogikh has not made any public confirmation or released a statement about her alleged relationship with Putin or the wealth that she has utilized over the years.

Victoria Lopyreva

Victoria Lopyreva, crowned Miss Russia 2013, is also among the rumored girlfriends of Putin. Lopyreva became an official ambassador of the FIFA World Cup in 2018 before being appointed as a director of the Miss Russia pageant. She was Putin's alleged mistress for some time.

Lopyreva is also a Russian television presenter, actress, model and blogger. She continues to work in several ambassadorial roles. Lopyreva, along with a Russian named Igor Bularov, was also rumored to have a romantic relationship with former Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan after a photo of them emerged online. She is known to be a big supporter of Premier League giants Man Utd. The 38-year-old beauty queen has previously attended football matches at the Old Trafford.
