One reason that Meghan wanted to move to Frogmore is that she finds living in Kensington Palace “claustrophobic.” She feels suffocated despite the massive size of the Palace because even having friends over is difficult there.

As the Palace is a tourist attraction and thousands visit every day, the royals don’t have privacy. People often wait outside to get a glimpse of the royal family when they step out or come in.

Photographers also hang out around the Palace all day, waiting for their chance to take photos of the royals. They can’t simply walk out without being seen. Prince Harry and his wife already made it clear that they want to be private, so living in Kensington is certainly not for them.

Frogmore Cottage Is The Perfect Home For Them

Insiders think that Frogmore Cottage is perfect for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex since they don’t want to be restricted. “They’ll enjoy it much more in Windsor,” the couple’s friend told People. “They feel claustrophobic in their place in Kensington Palace so moving to Windsor is a really healthy thing to do as the rigid constraints of Kensington Palace are not for all.”

As US Weekly reported, the quiet life is exactly what Prince Harry and his wife were aiming for, and they got what they want at Frogmore Cottage. The duchess finds their new home a simple place to live in, and she’s very happy.

“The cottage is much more private, and they wanted that for the arrival of the baby,” a source told the magazine. “Harry and Meghan are very happy with how the cottage turned out and they are looking forward to really starting their lives together on their own.”
