Hold onto your butts!
New Yorkers have crossed the Lincoln Tunnel every now and then but never quite like this: the rockstar racing team Red Bull took a little vacation in New York City and allowed one of its Formula 1 cars to run amok.
Formula 1 cars have blitzed the tunnel of the Monaco circuit for decades but there's something about the Lincoln Tunnel experience that's a little more special: the tunnel is only 21.5 feet wide but extends for 1.5 miles long
Piloted by Red Bull ambassador and retired F1 driver David Coulthard, the RB8 blasted through the tunnel and reached outrageous speeds as high as 190 mph, making this by far the fastest NYC to New Jersey tunnel crossing in history.
Best of all, Red Bull has shared a little teaser footage of the madness. Down in the YouTube comments, one smartass responded, "Fastest commute my ass, I'd say the '87 crown vic in MIB takes that title."
We say: Who do you think was on camera car duty? That's right.
