As soon as the "Loki" trailer dropped, Marvel fans immediately took notice of one scene that can make one think that Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson) is back in the MCU.
The new trailer dropped on Monday, April 5 and one of the biggest questions raised was the identity of the woman Loki is sitting with. Judging by her appearance, the woman does resemble Black Widow a bit.
Fans believe Black Widow, who will be returning in her own standalone movie this summer on Disney+ Premier, will use the series as a stepping stone for her return. To give the speculation some credit, Loki sits next to this mysterious lady on the Vormoir, the location where Natasha Romanoff sacrificed herself to retrieve the soul stone in "Avengers: Endgame."
But a closer look (at around the 2:05 mark) suggests that it can also be another character. Some believe that this character is Lady Loki.
Fans believe this is actress Sophia Di Martino making her debut. At the moment, her character hasn’t been officially announced, but Deadline reported that their sources hint Sophia will play the role of Lady Loki. Though Di Martino hasn’t been seen in a Loki trailer yet, her blonde hairstyle gives away her identity.
Going back, there might still be a possibility of Black Widow returning. After all, fans got what they wanted for Loki. Though Loki was killed by Thanos, he was able to escape with the Tesseract during the "Avengers" time heist.
Loki is set to premiere on June 11 on Disney+.
