A 27-year-old teacher is facing grave charges after she was found to have committed sex offenses against a student over at the Jefferson County Public Schools. The teacher was identified as Micca Watts-Gordon who is facing a range of offenses and eventually fired.

Watts-Gordon was indicted in October last year and denied all the charges thrown at her. That included first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, use of a minor in a sexual performance, distributing obscene content to a minor and six counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

The 27-year-old was fired on Apr. 22 according to Renee Murphy, the school district's communications chief. The school did not get into specifics about the firing of Watts-Gordon.

The victim was only 13-years-old when the incident happened. The child was one of Watts-Gordon students at the W.E.B. DuBois Academy, in Louisville. Before she was fired, the school re-assigned her to non-teaching duties in November 2019. Per court records, the offenses were committed from Aug. 25 to Nov. 19, 2019.

Among the charges, the teacher is facing include forcing the teen to touch her private part and attempting to perform oral sex. Aside from that, there was an instance where Watts-Gordon allegedly touched the weenie of a teenager in a cinema in October 2019.

Moreover, both had exchanged explicit photos and videos between them. Per reports, the 37-year-old sent photos and videos of her private parts aside from videos of her doing oral sex. In return, she would ask the teenager to do the same.

In a move to erase evidence, Watts-Gordon allegedly instructed the child to erase all digital transactions between them. She also deleted her social media accounts but both still communicated through other means.

If convicted, Watts-Gordon could face class B felonies which are punishable by up to 20 years in prison. The 37-year-old is no longer in police custody after posting $10,000 bail. She is set to stand trial on Nov. 2.
