Selena Gomez has given fans and close friends quite the scare when she said she would be taking a break to focus on her health complications. Luckily for us, the star appears to be doing very well after being spotted having lunch away from the Hollywood cameras.
According to E News, the “Heart Wants What It Wants” singer was spotted having lunch and talking with fans at the Texas Roadhouse in Alcoa, Tennessee this past Saturday.
“She enjoyed herself and was there for a late lunch,” an eyewitness told the website. “She couldn’t have been more gracious to everyone and to the fans and was more than happy to take pictures with whoever.”
The Mexican-American singer has decided to take a break from the spotlight since announcing that she will be taking a break to deal with some health concerns. The star has been battling lupus for quite some time and unfortunately there is no telling when the disease will flare up.
“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus. I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges,” Gomez said to People. “I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off.”
Well it seems as if the time off has been doing the star very well. Gomez looked fresher than ever donning a dark sweatshirt, skinny jeans and a Yankees baseball cap, as she snapped tons of photos with her fans.
The sighting put many fans in a frenzy and started trending #SelenaIsBackParty on Twitter for a short while over the weekend.
