While governments across various countries are busy requesting the masses to practice social distancing during the ongoing coronavirus crisis, there are a few like Marvel actress Evangeline Lilly, who are displaying their blatant lack of understanding and sensitivity to the gravity of the situation.

A few days ago, she posted about putting her freedom over her health and not making her kids follow self-isolation either. Well, looks like her fans were not the only ones incensed by her statement as "Game Of Thrones" star Sophie Turner also took a sly dig at Lilly’s controversial stance.

A few days ago, Lilly took to Instagram to share how her life is “business as usual” and posted a photo of her morning tea, with the caption: “Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp. They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing. #businessasusual.”

After she received worldwide ire at her irresponsible behavior, Lilly responded to some of the comments. "Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives," the "Ant-Man" actress wrote. "We all make our choices ... where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall Law [sic] for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu."

Sophie Turner and her husband, Joe Jonas have been in quarantine amidst the deadly coronavirus pandemic and have been hosting frequent Instagram Live’s for their fans. And in their latest live session, Turner shaded the Lost actress' earlier comments on refusing to self isolate and observe social distancing.

"Stay inside. Don’t be f---ing stupid. Even if you count your – " [does air quotes] 'freedom over ... your health.' I don’t give a f--- about your freedom. You could be infecting other people, other vulnerable people around you by doing this. So stay inside guys! It’s not cool, it’s not big, and it’s not clever… And that’s the tea,” she said.

Evangeline Lilly is the next in the list of celebrities [read: Vanessa Hudgens] who have all the power to influence and steer their followers towards the right path but are instead resorting to making light of the situation with insensible comments.
