The pre-production work for “Suicide Squad 2” has begun. Director James Gunn made the announcement on social media, and once again emphasized the importance of the comic book character King Shark, a character who may have a big role in the upcoming film.

Gunn and his team are busy working on the upcoming superhero movie, and they just got some motivation to give the project their best. The director shared a picture of the office that now has a King Shark-themed arcade room that the team can use when they are on a break.

The room is aptly called The King Sharkade. It was built by a team by Microsoft, whom Gunn thanked in his post. One of the pictures shows Gunn playing a pinball machine that is based on his “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise.

The games in the room include an arcade shooter and a pool table. There are areas in the room where the team members can relax on the sofa and watch some TV. There is also a scrabble board that Gunn used to spell out the name King Shark.

This is not the first time that Gunn has teased the importance of King Shark in “Suicide Squad.” He previously shared photos of birthday cakes based on the character when he visited the production office of the film earlier this month. The director at that time wrote that he has the greatest team in the world.

In the comics, King Shark is a humanoid who used to terrorize the people in Hawaii. Just as the other members of the team, he joined the Suicide Squad to help fight the villains later. The character was not a part of the 2016 film.

Gunn has started the pre-production work of “Suicide Squad 2,” but so far he hasn’t announced any details about the plot. It remains to be seen if this is a sequel to the 2016 movie or a reboot. The film will be released on August 6, 2021.
