Super Bowl weekend isn't all about football and ads. Given the timing in early February, the Super Bowl is also a great opportunity for all the major movies of 2016 to share a new trailer. This strategy isn't anything new and are usually very well received by movie buffs. While they won't guarantee box office success, for studios, trailers can also be a small tests to gauge early reception as well. This year, lots of movies dropped exciting new trailers and previews during Super Bowl 50!
Big movie trailers during thebig game include a new "The Jungle Book" ad spot that unvieled footage ahead of its April 15 release date. "Untitled Jason Bourne Sequel," and "Captain America: Civil War," also aired new clips. Other action-packed titles include "Deadpool," "10 Cloverfield Lane," "Independence Day: Resurgence," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" and "X Men: Apocalypse."
Disney alsopreview its other upcoming feature film "Alice Through the Looking Glass" and we got more cuteness overload with a new clip of "The Secret Life of Pets."
