The Unicode Consortium has revealed that more than 40 new emoji are on their way to iOS, Android and Microsoft users. The Consortium is in charge of approving emojis so iPhone, Android, Windows and other smartphone users can send and receive the same things. Unicode 8.0, which was released on June 17, 2015, is comprised of 36 new emojis, plus five emoji modifiers.

Support for the new emoji characters reply on future updates from mobile platform vendors such as Apple, Google and Microsoft. Fortunately Apple users already have support for Skin Tone Modifiers, which are seen in iOS and OS X reports Emojipedia. The new list of emoji include a taco, burrito, Unicorn, Mosque and so much more. Check out the full list below:

It's a little early to give an exact release date for this update but iPhone owners will likely have to wait until Fall. Earlier this month at WWDC Apple revealed its new iOS 9 operating system would arrive to devices later this year and we'll more than likely see the new emoji hit then.
