Three juvenile boys, all aged between 8 and 11 allegedly murdered a 6-year-old girl after she refused to watch porn videos on one of the accused boy’s cellphone.

The shocking incident happened on Oct. 13, in Kaliabor, a town in the Nagaon district of Assam, India.

According to the police, officers from the Kaliabor Police Station were alerted about a girl’s body found inside a toilet behind a stone crusher.

The victim’s family had already recovered the body by the time officers responded to the scene. However, the investigators noticed traces of blood on the toilet floor.

While the deceased had injuries on her chest and head, an autopsy concluded she was not subjected to sexual assault.

A preliminary investigation revealed the girl was murdered using a stone. Doctors confirmed that the victim was repeatedly struck on her head and chest with a stone-like object.

During the investigation, the cops learned that a watchman and his family lived right opposite the stone crusher.

Initially, the investigators suspected the watchman to be involved in the crime but later found that his 11-year-old son was the prime suspect.

“We have done old-school policing, there was no scientific investigation as such. We interrogated each and every person related to the case and their statements did not seem to add up and that was when we figured out that they were lying and they knew what had happened, after which the father confessed that his son had committed the crime,” Mrinmoy Das, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Kalibor Police Station, told EastMojo.

The boy was arrested within 24 hours after the murder, police said. Two other juveniles were also arrested on the same day for their involvement in the murder.

According to the police, the three minor suspects lived near the victim’s home and used to watch pornographic clips on the 11-year-old’s cellphone that his parents had got him to attend online classes.

On the day of the unfortunate incident, the juvenile suspects decided to reenact a scene from the porn video and reportedly lured the minor girl to the quarry where they forced her to watch those clips. They tried to touch the girl but she refused.

When she started crying and threatened to tell her parents about it, the boys dragged the girl into the toilet and repeatedly hit her with the stone, killing her instantly, police said.

“Accused aged between 8 and 11 are porn addicts capable of conspiracy and gruesome execution of a dastardly crime. Seems it’s time for introspection and Social Intervention,” the Nagaon Police tweeted.

The parents of the 11-year-old accused, whose phone contained pornographic material, were also arrested.

“Initially only one adult was arrested. Later we arrested the mother of the 11-year-old accused boy as well,” a police official said.

A further investigation revealed that the watchman’s son was also found in a compromising position with his sister a month ago.

The police inspected the boy’s cellphone and his browsing history revealed that he frequently surfed pornographic sites. He even made his friends and cousins watch the videos with him, police said.

“When the boys were grilled, they confessed that they had committed the murder. The watchman’s son used to notice his brother and his wife, as well as his parents, perform sexual acts, and then there was the smartphone. So, a lot of factors led to the boy attaining puberty pre-maturely. It is more alarming that these children made attempts to cover up the crime,” Das said.

Both the arrested adults were produced before a court on Thursday, while the three accused minors were produced before the juvenile court and will now be sent to a correction home.

“Family/social intervention and institutional guidance to the kids could have saved these 4 young lives. 1 lost life, 3 lost for life. It can happen with anyone or anyone around us. If our upcoming generations fail on social-moral standards responsibility lies greatly on us,” Nagaon superintendent of police Anand Mishra tweeted.
