Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have been exes for more than a decade now, but their loyal fans are still hoping for a romantic reconciliation. Although Pitt and Aniston have already maintained that they’re just friends and not getting back together, several tabloids are still taking advantage of their fans’ fantasies by making up stories about them. Here are the times Pitt and Aniston were maliciously reported to have secretly married — or planned to marry — each other.

After Aniston And Justin Theroux’s Split (March 2018)

After Aniston confirmed that she and producer Justin Theroux were headed for a divorce, reports came out claiming that she and Pitt immediately decided to reconcile by exchanging vows during a romantic secret getaway to Paris. The alleged tipster of the tabloid claimed that the exes eloped in Paris and were spotted near the Ritz during their time in France.

On Their 18th Wedding Anniversary (July 2018)

Pitt and Aniston’s marriage was cut short after their 4th wedding anniversary. Last year, however, a tabloid claimed that Pitt and Aniston became man and wife for a second time as they pledged their commitment to each other all over again. According to the tabloid’s source, Pitt and Aniston said their vows in an intimate backyard ceremony on the day they were supposed to celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary.

On Aniston’s 50th Birthday (February 2019)

A tabloid previously claimed that Aniston’s 50th birthday bash at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Hollywood was a double celebration of her birthday and their secret wedding. While it is true that Aniston invited Pitt to her 50th birthday celebration earlier this year, it is not true that they got married on the same day.

After Pitt Legally Obtained His Single Status (May 2019)

Back in May, the court allowed Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to be legally single again even when their divorce is not yet finalized. After the news came out, a tabloid reported that Pitt planned to take advantage of his new single status to walk down the aisle with Aniston. Pitt and Aniston reportedly sent out “save the date” invites to all their close family and friends as Pitt wanted Aniston to be his legal wife again.
