Gwen Stefani’s ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, is reportedly getting in the way of Stefani’s dream wedding with Blake Shelton. Last week, a report came out claiming that Rossdale refused to sign their annulment papers so his ex-wife could not marry her “The Voice” co-judge.

Although Rossdale has every right to refuse to sign their annulment papers, it is not true that he did it. Contrary to a tabloid report that surfaced last week, Rossdale does not have any plans of blocking Stefani’s ability to marry Shelton. There is no truth in reports claiming that Rossdale’s battle with Stefani has already turned into a holy war, with Rossdale doing everything he can to not make Stefani and Shelton’s wedding happen.

In a tabloid report that surfaced last week, Rossdale reportedly refused to say that their marriage never existed. “Gwen’s biggest nightmare is coming true,” the source allegedly said.

“Gavin is refusing to play the ball. The church cannot condone a marriage after a divorce unless the marriage isn’t recognized in the first place, and Gavin refuses to say their marriage never existed,” the unidentified source added.

Previously, Stefani, a devout Catholic, expressed her wish to have a Catholic wedding with Shelton. However, that cannot happen unless she secures an annulment. She recently petitioned the Vatican to have her 13-year marriage to Rossdale annulled, but the rocker reportedly challenged her action by way of refusal, leaving all their three sons caught in the middle of their ongoing war.

The tabloid went as far as saying that when the church reached out to Rossdale after Stefani’s annulment application, he went ballistic. “Gavin isn’t going to pretend he wasn’t married just because it makes Gwen’s life easier,” the source allegedly said.

Rossdale reportedly thought it was wrong and stupid to have their marriage annulled. “He isn’t going to let Gwen sweep their marriage under the rug,” the source added.

Days after the bogus reports came out, Gossip Cop debunked the claims and revealed that Stefani did not beg the Vatican to wipe her first marriage clean. Stefani is reportedly not applying for an annulment. She and Rossdale are already divorced, and that’s enough to warrant a second marriage with Shelton.
