Following panic attacks during their flight back to Miami, Heat guard Dion Waiters was slapped by the Miami Heat a 10-game suspension. The penalty was given three days after the incident happened, Associated Press reports say.

According to their source, who requested not to be named, the 27-year old guard ingested at least one THC-infused edible and had a serious reaction when they landed in Los Angeles before given medical attention. THC, a banned substance in the league, is an active ingredient found in marijuana.

“We are very disappointed in Dion’s actions this season that include the very scary situation on Thursday night, and grateful that the outcome wasn’t worse,” the source said.

The seven-year guard also threw shots on Instagram before the season started targeting head coach Erik Spoelstra after being criticized by a fan for not working hard enough that their rookie Tyler Herro plays more minutes than him. His reply talked about the team winning with the big three – LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

Bosh had his jersey retired by the Heat on March 26 this year after saying that he is “not pursuing an NBA career anymore” while Wade just played his final game last season with Miami and ended his NBA career posting a triple-double of 25 points, 11 boards and 10 assists. James is currently in his 17th season and just formed a deadly duo with Anthony Davis with the Los Angeles Lakers. The trio won back-to-back titles for the Heat in 2012 and 2013 season with Spoelstra.

While the reports did not reveal the Miami teammate who may have supplied the gummies to Waiters, followers took to social media on whom they think was the source of the prohibited stuff.

While arguing on who was the source, there are also some people who gave him mad props, saying they needed a Dion Waiters in their lives.

The social media people, for sure, will be waiting for Dion to spill it but right now, we’ll settle with people’s guesses.
