"The Voice" Season 5 Coaches
Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton wait to hear the results of the "The Voice" Season 5 Top 8 live performances. NBC

It was one stressful night. The artists of "The Voice" Season 5 stood anxiously on the stage waiting to hear their name called, but only the Top 6 were saved by America. Two artists, regardless of what team they were on got sent home. The show opened up with a great performance by Ellie Goulding featuring "The Voice" Season 5 contestants Will Champlin, James Wolpert and Matthew Schuler. The Top 8 also performed a special group performance of "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" by Johnny Cash and Family. Cee Lo performed his new single "Amy" with Goodie Mob from "Against The Machine" album. The Top 8 also performed "Apologize" and "All The Right Moves" by One Republic. The group performance was the last of the night before the final cuts were made to reveal the Top 6 moving on to next week.

All of "The Voice" Season 5 coaches -- Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton -- expressed their concern for the remaining contestants to Carson Daly at the start of the show. "Two people are going to have to go home tonight that don't deserve to go home," said Blake of the talent of the remaining contestants. Adam seemed to be super confident he wouldn't be losing anyone tonight. Of the Top 8, Adam had three artists, Christina and Blake had two and Cee Lo had only one. But, Cee Lo said that he was happy to be the underdog with his one contestant, Caroline Pennell. But we would like poor Cee Lo to win one! To find out who of the remaining Top 8 were saved and who were the two that were sent home, scroll down to our list.

As is usually the case with "The Voice," the coaches and artists have clearly gotten close their their time together. Christina appears to be trying to turn her 16-year-old artist Jacquie Lee into a mini version of herself in addition to getting her artists into yoga shape with her personal trainer. Tessanne Chin basically started crying when Carson asked her about Adam's contribution to her success on the show. Last night, Cee Lo recited a poem to Caroline telling her that she had his heart and therefore had already won. Blake was sky-high tonight because the winner of "The Voice" Season 4 -- formerly of his team --Danielle Bradbury debuted her first album that made it to No. 1 on the country charts. Watch "The Voice" on Mondays at 8/7c and Tuesdays at 9/8c on NBC. You can watch full episodes of the show HERE on their website after it airs.
