Tonight at 8 p.m. Team Adam and Team Shakira sing to see who moves on to live shows and who goes home. NBC

Tonight team Adam and team Shakira sing to learn their fate and find out who each coach will pick to represent them in the live shows. For team Shakira, Kristen Merlin kicked off the night with a killer performance. She received great feedback from the coaches. She sang “Two Black Cadillacs.” Next up came Deja Hall. She sang “Battlefield.” Coaches all agreed that she has matured into a young adult in this competition compared to the teenager she was at the beginning of the competition. Tess Boyer was up next for team Shakira. She sang “Human.” She has been a part of team Usher, team Blake and now team Shakira. Adam commented that he will definitely see her in the final. Shakira said that Tess had an amazing gift. Next up Patrick Thomson. He sang “Trouble.” Adam said that he had his finest moment at the right time. Shakira said that he took command of the stage with poise and that she couldn’t be more proud of him. Last but not least for team Shakira, Dani Moz sang “Edge of Glory.” She received great feedback from the coaches as well.

Shakira faced the difficult decision of choosing the three artists that would be moving forward to represent their team in the live shows. Shakira chose Tess Boyer, Kristen Merlin and Dani Moz. Deja Hall and Patrick Thomas were sent home.

For team Adam, Delvin Choice came up first. He sang “Let’ Stay Together.” Shakira said “Delvin, it was delicious and she said that he was one of her favorites in the competition.” He received praise from the other three coaches. Up next Jake Barker sang “She will be loved.” The fact that he sang one of Adam’s song, Adam said that he put his own spin on it. He received great critique from the coaches. Next up, came Kat Perkins. She sang “Open Arms.” Usher said she had a flawless performance and Adam, her coach said there has not been another performance like her performance. Up next for team Adam was Morgan Wallen. He sang “Stay.” He also received good feedback. Last but not least for team Adam came Christina Grimmie. She sang “I won’t give up.” In honor of her mother who has battled with breast cancer three times. Blake said that she is the best singer on his team. Usher said she was like a baby Celine Dion.

It was Adam’s turn to make the tough decision of which artist would advance to the live shows. Adam chose Christina Grimmie, Delvin Choice and Kat Perkins. Morgan Wallen and Jake Barker were sent home.
