Norman Reedus reveals shocking details about this week's episode finale. Is Glenn is finally coming back? The Walking Dead/AMC

“The Walking Dead” fans around the world have been waiting patiently for Glenn (Steven Yeun) to make his comeback after the show creators decided to leave his death unsolved at the end of season 6’s episode 3, “Thank You.” During last night’s episode, “Always Accountable,” a little ray of hope surfaced when Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) are heading back to Alexandria and hear someone say the word “Help” over their walkie-talkie. Immediately, fans around the world assumed it was Glenn and that made everything right in the world again…wrong!

During a recent interview, Norman Reedus crushed every ounce of optimism we had left by saying that the person on the other side of the radio is definitely not Glenn, “Not Glenn. The only thing I’ll say is that it’s not Glenn, Reedus told Yahoo TV. And if our dreams weren’t already crushed and vanishing slowly, the fan favorite made sure to leave things clear during another interview previous to the episode’s premiere, “It’s not Glenn – but it’s somebody at Alexandria,” the actor told The Hollywood Reporter.

But there is still a light at the end of the tunnel people! This morning, E! Online reported that producers and cast members have failed to confirm that Glenn is dead when asked, “Dear fans of ‘The Walking Dead.’ This is a hard story to tell, and when we were planning to tell it, we know our friends at ‘The Walking Dead’ would be talking to you about it, and we knew we should say something about it, lest our silence say something we didn’t mean to say or not say. So I’ll say this: in some way, we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn, or parts of Glenn again, either in flashback, or in the current story, to help complete the story,” said executive producer Scott M. Gimple in a statement.

Even though we are happy to read that we’ll be seeing more of Glenn, we are not too thrilled about the fact that he may not be back as a living character. The only thing that keeps us going, for the time being, is that Yeun has been spotted on set, which means he’ll definitely be back but, when? And most importantly, how? Stay tuned!
