Edward Mordrake will return to "American Horror Story" for episode 4! FX

The second installment of “American Horror Story: Freak Show” Halloween event premieres tonight, and with actual Halloween being a mere two days away, fans should prepare from some downright terrifying action in “Edward Mordrake Pt. 2.” The FX synopsis reveals that the spirit of Edward Mordrake will once again return to the Freak Show tents however, this time he is not going to be so gracious as to spare the life of another freak. Leaving his one time charity with Ethel Darling behind, “Edward Mordrake continues his search for a Freak to add to his ghostly coterie.”

The synopsis also teases that Elsa, played by “AHS” front-runner Jessica Lange, will tell the audience and her fellow freaks the “grisly story of her days in Germany.” We know very little about Elsa Mars before her time in Jupiter, Florida, but fans do understand that the entertainer has been a journey to stardom for a while, however her dreams have been thwarted by another, fans learned this during Elsa’s deceptive, yet somewhat telling reading from the still undetected fraud Esmeralda. In the promo video for episode 4, Edward Mordrake is seen hovering over Elsa with her begging him to take her and be done with it, so does the Freak Show’s leading lady show finally close on Halloween? Well, fans will just have to wait and see. In addition to the Edward Mordrake, Elsa showdown, Maggie and Jimmy Darling will “have a run-in with the Twisted Clown.”

Elsa and Twisty are most likely this season’s two main characters and it seems that episode 4 will uncover the complicated histories of both Elsa and Twisty. Be sure to watch the fourth episode of Season 4 of “American Horror Story: Freak Show” tonight at 10 pm on FX, or you can watch “Edward Mordrake Pt. 2” online for free via livestream at FX.com!
