Season 4 of “American Horror Story” is about to get even scarier, if that's possible. The two part Halloween special, “Edward Mordrake Part II” premieres on Wednesday, a mere two days before the actual day in real life, and while fans are thrilled for the spooky series, they may be losing one of their favorite characters. If the promo video for episode 4 was any indication than Edward Mordrake is still on the look out for another “pure freak” to add to his growing collection, so who will it be?
The promo clip reveals that “Freak Show” residents are now truly terrified of being snatched by the two faced man, with Kathy Bates character Ethel nervous comment, “He’s gonna pick somebody tonight,” serving as an ominous warning. After the warning, the promo video shows Paul the Illustrated Seal backing away in terror and fear, the performer could most certainly be the next to be taken due to his “pure freak” condition of phocomelia of both arms. But Edward may find his quest for one more freak stopped by Dell Toledo who promises Ethel that he “is going to stop him dead,” and by the looks of the gun in his hand he is very serious. But it seems that the only thing that brings Ethel and Del together is their son Jimmy “The Lobster Boy” Darling, leaving fans to believe that Evan Peter’s character may be the next one to be taken.
If not Jimmy Darling, then fans believe that Edward Mordrake will take Elsa, to become a part of his troupe. Could Jessica Lange’s character really leave the “Freak Show” behind? Despite Elsa serving as the main character, “American Horror Story” has a tendency to completely and totally shock viewers, meaning that anything is possible.
