The Grammy nominations are in, and we are super excited! On Wednesday, the nominees were unveiled by Alicia Keys, Bebe Rexha, Gayle King, President of the Recording Academy- Deborah Dugan, and Chair of the Board of Trustees Harvey Mason Jr.

Lizzo took the lead with eight nominations, including album of the year for “Cuz I love you,” song and the record of the year for “Truth Hurts,” and even bagged the Best New Artist nomination. Just a little behind Lizzo came the teen pop star Billie Elish and rapper Lil Nas X. They each earned six nods each. In fact, Elish is the youngest to be ever nominated in four big categories.

Ariana Grande accumulated five nominations for “7 rings” and “Thank U, Next” is nominated for the album of the year. The Cranberries garnered a nomination for “In The End,” in the best rock album category, which was a tribute to the late singer Dolores O’Riordan, who died in 2018.

The Grammy Awards 2020 will be presented on January 26, 2020, at 8 pm on CBS. Also, the ceremony will be hosted by Alicia Keys.

The Grammy Awards 2020 is special because it will be hosted under the leadership of Deborah Dugan, who is the first female president of the Recording Academy. She started her duties in August and was Neil Portnow’s successor, who ran the show for 17 long years. You can take a look at the complete list of nominations here.
