Chloë Grace Moretz is being eyed for the Catwoman role in Matt Reeve’s “The Batman” movie. It has been widely reported that Robert Pattinson was confirmed to play the titular role character, and now the producers are looking for an actress who can perfectly portray Selina Kyle’s role.

While there are other actresses who are being added to the list of possible actresses to play as Catwoman, Moretz’s name stands out from the rest because she has the qualities that the said DC Comics superhero character should have, like the looks and physical prowess. The other actresses who were suggested for the role include Jodie Comer, Kristen Stewart, Vanessa Hudgens, Eliza Dushku, Betty Gilpin, Morena Baccarin, Ana de Armas and Aubrey Plaza.

Moretz already displayed her skills in doing action, superhero-type films through the “Kick-Ass” movies, and this is another reason she was considered for the Selina Kyle role. But while many favors Moretz to play the feline superhero, the likelihood that she will accept the project is low because she has already signed up to be Captain Maude Gardner in “Shadow In The Cloud.” The horror film directed by Roseanne Liang is still in production, and the actress was recently spotted filming in New Zealand.

Matt Reeve’s “The Batman” is set to be released on June 25, 2021, so there’s conflict in schedules since the DC Comics film is set to begin filming this fall in London. Meanwhile, the other confirmed cast members for the movie are Richard E. Grant as Alfred Pennyworth (Bruce Wayne's butler), Jason Clarke as Thomas Wayne and Keri Russell as Martha Wayne.

Moretz recently starred in “Suspiria” with Dakota Johnson, “The Miseducation Of Cameron Post” and “Greta” with Isabelle Huppert. If she can’t be part of “The Batman” movie as the next Catwoman, another big candidate would be Kristen Stewart. Fans have been calling out for her casting in the film so she can be reunited with her old flame, Robert Pattinson.

Stewart and Pattinson dated after meeting on the set of the blockbuster “Twilight” movie series. Unfortunately, they broke up in 2012 after the actress was caught having an affair with her “Snow White And The Huntsman” director, Rupert Sanders.
