Jennifer Aniston is always being pitted against Reese Witherspoon. Throughout the past couple of years, tabloids have published a slew of fake stories about the actresses.

Two years ago, it was reported that Aniston and Witherspoon will be teaming up on a new project. Shortly after, a tabloid claimed that the actresses are fighting over equal pay.

An unnamed source said at that time that Witherspoon wasn’t pleased to know that Aniston was earning more than her. But according to rumor-debunking site Gossip Cop, Witherspoon and Aniston actually received the same pay as the stars and coproducers of the “Morning Show.”

After the filming for their new project commenced, another tabloid said that Aniston and Witherspoon are fighting on the set of their show. An unnamed source accused the “Big Little Lies” star of bullying the “Friends” alum.

But once again, a more credible source told Gossip Cop that this wasn’t the case. The fabricated story was published to promote Aniston and Witherspoon’s appearance at an Apple event.

A few months later, another tabloid said that Aniston and Witherspoon got into a fight on the set. Photos of the co-stars were even published together with the fabricated story. However, Gossip Cop revealed that the snaps were taken during the filming of the actors’ fight scene in the “Morning Show.”

And after the co-stars wrapped up the filming for the “Morning Show,” another tabloid claimed that Witherspoon ditched Aniston in favor of “Scandal” star Kerry Washington. Witherspoon and Washington are working on the Hulu series “Little Fires Everywhere.”

An unnamed source told the tabloid that Witherspoon realized that she and Aniston weren’t a match professionally after they worked together. And Witherspoon is delighted over the fact that she and Washington have so much in common.

But shortly after the fake story was published, Gossip Cop once again learned that there was no truth to the claim. Witherspoon and Aniston are still good friends, and they never had a fight on or off the set. As such, the stories about Aniston and Witherspoon’s friendship being ruined after they starred in the “Morning Show” are also incorrect.
