As the feud between Prince Harry and Prince William continues with no end in sight, a source close to the royals on Wednesday confirmed that both of them would be celebrating the anniversary of their mother’s death apart, as the two’s relationship appears to deteriorate further.

The two princes will not be issuing a joint statement on the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, instead marking the memory with private events that will be done by the two brothers separately, according to the Telegraph.

Harry and William had previously celebrated the 20th anniversary of her death in 2017 together, doing documentary interviews as well as commissioning a statue to commemorate their mother’s death. But by the time that the statue was unveiled, Prince William had confirmed that the two of them will not be doing a public commemoration of their mother’s death again, the Daily Beast reported.

Kensington Palace confirmed that there are no plans for a public commemoration of Diana’s death this year, while Prince Harry spoke publicly about wanting to grieve privately after their many public commemorations for years.

“I want it to be a day filled with memories of her incredible work and love for the way she did it. I want it to be a day to share the spirit of my mum with my family, with my children, who I wish could have met her. Every day, I hope to do her proud,” he said.

The agreement between the two brothers to grieve separately and privately comes as tensions between the two over Harry’s wife Meghan continue, with new details emerging every day as to the combative relationship between the two princes, Cosmopolitan said.

A new account has emerged about the time when William attempted to call Harry regarding the bullying rumors surrounding Meghan that had occurred at her wedding, and William was so reportedly incensed when Harry slammed the phone down that he drove to Harry’s house just to confront him about it.

“William, who already didn’t like his sister-in-law very much, became furious. He called Harry directly, and Harry slammed the phone down. Harry didn’t want to know anything, and so William jumped in a car towards Kensington Palace, where he was going to confront Prince Harry,” author Pierrick Geais said.
