Season 4 of “American Horror Story” has finally received a premiere date from FX and while Oct. 8 is still a ways away, a new “Freak Show” teaser trailer and a spoiler roundup should keep fans satisfied for the time being. An earlier leaked casting sheet revealed that many of fans “American Horror Story” favorite actors will be returning for the next mini-series installment. The casting sheet revealed that “Coven” favorites Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, and Evan Peters will be returning to the AHS, as well as some lesser-known cast mates from pervious seasons including “Asylum” and “Murder House.”

The big casting change in this season will be the performers included in the “Freak Show,” while actors, these new cast members have more distinctive and specific skills in addition to their acting abilities. “Freak Show” newcomers include, Rose Siggins, who had her legs amputated at age 2 and is set to portray the character of “Legless Suzy,” Matt Fraser, an actor who was diagnosed with phocomelia; the rare disease has caused the malformation of his limbs. He is set to play “Paul the Illustrated Seal” in Season 4, joining the “Freak Show” is Erika Ervin, a 6’8” model and fitness trainer, who will play a character named Amazon Eve. The last notable character to join the cast for Season 4 is Jyoti Amge, the world’s smallest woman. In addition to the recently released “Admit One” teaser trailer which featured an elongated, crusted over four fingered chicken hand of sorts slowly opening to reveal a ticket to the highly anticipated “Freak Show,” the mini series has finally released a full synopsis for Season 4.

While previous spoiler reports have given fans some idea as to what to expect in the upcoming season, fans now have more details on setting, plot and characters due to the synopsis directly from FX. The synopsis confirmed that “American Horror Story” Season 4 will be set in Jupiter, Florida in 1952, the town is described as a “quiet, sleepy hamlet.” But that’s before the “Freak Show” arrives. The synopsis continues, “a troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike.”

While FX has provided no official word on the dark entity threatening the lives of so many, due to the leaked casting sheet mentioned above, we have some idea as to what this evil force will be. The evil force and dangerous entity will be introduced in the Season 4 premiere episode, which is still unnamed. The premiere of “American Horror Story: Freak Show” is set to open with a brutal murder, nothing says AHS like a little blood shed. Right? According to the leaked casting sheet, the “Twisted Clown” who is played by John Carroll Lynch kills the Bachman family, who are residents of Jupiter. The “Twisted Clown” most certainly sounds like a bad “Freak Show” cast off, so is he out for revenge against anybody, or perhaps all those who wronged him in the carnival business, only time and Ryan Murphy will tell!

The end of the synopsis reads, “This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American Carny experience.” So while the “Twisted Clown” is on a deadly rampage, the performers and owners of the “Freak Show” will have conceded with less interest in the curiosities that have recently come to town.
