Kate Del Castillo and Rafael Amaya coincidentally ran into each other at a restaurant in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday night. On his way out, “El Señor de los Cielos” star was bombarded by a group of reporters waiting outside Mr. Chow, “No, no. I saw her very calm, very beautiful, very good, everything was great,” Amaya told LMshow’s reporter when he was asked if Del Castillo seemed scared.

A few days ago, Kate’s good friend and respected Mexican journalist, Lydia Cacho, approached the media to disclose parts of a conversation she recently had with the 43-year-old telenovela star, “She is clearly very scared, she doesn’t understand why the Mexican Government is attacking her this ways,” Cacho told Mexican magazine TVyNovelas.

Days after Lydia Cacho’s interview was aired on Jorge Ramos’ “Al Punto,” Del Castillo told Univision, “I don’t have to give the media any explanations. If I’m not saying anything is because my lawyers advised me not to do so because the [Mexican] government wants to destroy me, no matter what.”

Del Castillo has been making the headlines since her “secret” meeting with Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán was exposed in an article orchestrated by Sean Penn and Rolling Stone magazine a day after the Mexican drug lord was recaptured by Mexican authorities. Sources report both actors are currently under investigation but only Kate Del Castillo has allegedly received citations from the Embassy to present an official declaration.
